1. Colder weather is here. That means my skin is getting dry and I’m constantly putting lotion on (especially my hands and elbows!). I am always looking for a good lotion that will soothe my dry skin and smell great. I was able to try this Organic Aloe 80 Hand & Body Lotion sent to me for free from Swanson Health Products. The bottle sells for $6.53 (as compared to over $10 in stores!), is creamy, smells fresh and fragrant, and so far has been a great lotion for daily use!
2. I know I don’t talk about my hair much, but that’s because I don’t think about it much (unlike food, of course). I am, however, always looking for products that will make my life simpler and allow me to do my hair in even less time. At a recent haircut, the stylist let me in on a little secret: if you spray hairspray into your hands (rather than directly onto your hair) rub your hands together and then smooth your hair out using your fingers, it helps to tame frizz without giving it that “stiff-hairspray” look.
Guess what? It works! Since then, I’ve been spraying a few spritzes on my hands every morning before walking out the door and feel like it helps to manage the frizz. So I was thrilled to be able to try out Aloe 80 Styling Spray also sent to me courtesy of Swanson Health Products. This is my first time using organic hair spray and I could definitely tell a difference. It feels lighter and as has a much more “fresh” scent than other hairsprays I’ve used in the past. I’m not sure I would use this for my wedding day or a special event where you need to make sure every hair stays in place, but it’s been working great for my everyday use!
3. Gah! Cookie Butter! Yes, yes. I know this was all the rage in the blog-world at least a year ago but I didn’t try it for the exact reason that has now come true: I was scared of how much I could possibly love a product and want to use it on E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. When my favorite Almond Butter was recently recalled, I decided I would finally give it a try. Oh dear. This stuff is dangerously good. It tastes excatly like a Biscoff Cookie, but in spreadable form. YUM.
