Three Things on Thursday

by simplylife on May 31, 2012

1.  I know Mason Jars are super-trendy right now and I love the clean, simple look they give.  No bulky bags being thrown around; no need to search around wondering what’s inside each container.

I, however, prefer to reuse whatever I can.  I don’t like buying new things when I already have something that can be repurposed.  So my version of these comes from old jars that SO many of our foods already come in; I much prefer the different shapes and sizes of each one anyways!

Here’s where a lot of these came from: old spaghetti sauce containers, The Mason Jar Cookie Company (there products actually do come in “real” Mason Jars), and that one in the middle (holding couscous) is actually an old candle jar!

2.  Have you tried this yet?  It’s TJ’s Almond Butter with Roasted Flaxseeds.  When I first tried it, I wasn’t sure if I loved or hated the flavor.  Several containers later, I’m now going through these at record speed.  It has a strong nutty flavor and grainy texture that I just can’t get enough of!

3.  Have you watched this video yet?  Please do.  I cry tears (of joy) and have all sorts of warm fuzzy feelings every time I see it (and I’ve already watched it a lot).  I want to reach-out and hug the happy couple.

~What are you loving at the moment?

Those three things I am in total agreement! Mason jars are so much easier to organize things…and that proposal is the cutest thing!

That almond butter is addicting for sure! I don’t keep it in the house on a regular basis because I fear for my waistline. Not a lie… :p

The couple is extra lucky to have that many family and friends who obviously care so much about them. I’m amazed at the lip-syncing that they did.

Great idea to reuse those jars! I keep wanting to buy a bunch of mason jars, but maybe I’ll buy some spaghetti sauce and mason jar cookies instead!

I have jars hanging around that I never do anything with, and I really should, I love jars.

What I’m into right now is, surprisingly, last.fm – my husband made me use it so his band could have more listeners, and I’ve really gotten into it!
