Whenever the weather starts to shift into warmer temperatures, I always crave salads.
Typically when I think of a salad, I usually picture some type of mixture containing: lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, croutons and Italian dressing.
I’m not sure if it is because this salad combo was a common side-dish on our table growing-up, or if it’s because this is what you usually find in a standard “garden salad” on a restaurant menu, but this is always the image that comes to mind when someone mentions the word salad.
Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that description; in fact, it’s very similar to many of my lunches that I bring to work today and contains some of my favorite ingredients.
However, when it comes to the thought of eating a salad at home in the evening or on a weekend, it just feels so boring. Who wants to eat lettuce and carrots on a Saturday night?
So, when my craving for salads persisted simultaneously with my irrational inability to repeat a meal, I knew it was time for some creativity in a bowl.
After a little bit of pondering and mixing, guess what I found out? The combination of pears, pistachios, and feta is so simple, yet so complimentary and definitely needs to make it to your weekly menu this summer!
This salad came together in about 5 minutes yet, because of the unique ingredients, it felt like something so gourmet that I will definitely look forward to eating any night of the week!

Oh, and it’s not just meals that I have problems repeating, it’s also personal hygiene products like face and body wash. I know that I should probably stick with products I know I like, but I always prefer trying new things! So when DeadSeaHerbs offered to send me their organic Make-Up Remover I was thrilled to be able to try it!
This face wash is made of natural ingredients and feels incredibly light on my skin, yet still does a great job of actually removing the make-up!
