Share Your Goodness: Win A Whole Foods Gift Card!

by simplylife on February 1, 2012

It’s February.  Another month means another way to Share Your Goodness!

On Jan 1, I introduced Share Your Goodness, where I will be challenging YOU to do something good for someone else.  I was so inspired by all the thoughtful, kind and generous things you have been doing for other people and can’t wait to hear more!

This month, I’ll be giving away a $5 gift card to Whole Foods!  While it’s not much, I hope that extra snack you’ve been craving or item at the hot foods bar is enough to feel thanked for all the goodness you share!

Your February Share Your Goodness challenge?…Say Thank You :)

Yes, those 2 words we’ve been taught over and over since we first learned to talk.  They’re still important and there are a million ways to say it.   Will you write a card?  Send a small gift?  Or simply say the 2 words to someone who needs to hear it?

You can enter as many times as you wish for every time you “say thank you” between now and Feb 5!

Also don’t forget to enter my other giveaway to win a custom made cookie mix from Mason Jar Cookie Co!

As the little girl scout knocked on my door the other day offering to sell me cookies a light bulb went off in my head! I bought three boxes, one for my mom and each of my sisters. Since its Feb. and I’m feeling extra lovey I thought I would send them each a package with a box of thin mints and a card, letting them know how much I appreciate them and all the support they’ve given me over the last couple years! Hopefully they like it, I know I would :)

We make sure that we say thank you everytime our kids do something for us to show we appreciate what they do.

I think “thank you” are two of the most positive words put together !! Great inspirational idea….Can’t wait to read more stories!!

haha, if I entered as many times as I say “thank you” I would probably have thousands of entries! I once read in a book that it’s possible to say “than you” too much, and some people do just that (I think I’m one of them). Yesterday at the restaurant I Was at I think I Said thank you to our waitress five times in the first minute. YIKES! I just LOVE to say THANK YOU! And, I’m one of those people who always sends a special thank you card too :)

Oh I love it! I don’t think you can say it enough! Really, I haven’t heard of anyone getting angry for someone saying thank you to them, but you sure hear about it when they don’t!

THANK YOU for brightening my day, and being such an inspiration! Have you ever read the book ‘Pay It Forward’? It is now a movie as well, and the book is more of a children’s/teen’s book, but it is one of my all-time favorites, and you had asked for recommendations recently. Your kindness reminds me a bit of the story, which I try to use as an inspiration in my everyday life. :-)

I love this. Thank you for coming up with this idea (does that count?! Haha!)

In all honesty, I just thanked my co-worker for proof reading an email for me. It was in response to a super condescending email that was sent to me yesterday that I’ve been steaming over all day. I needed someone to bring me down to earth, which she did and I was VERY thankful for!

We don’t have Whole Foods here, but that doesn’t mean I am not going to do nice things for others! I love this challenge :-)

thank you for this reminder. sometimes it is those small little gestures – common courtsey even – that can make such a difference.

    I love this post.
My mother in law helps with the baby so much that I’m going to bake a batch of cookies for her and tell her thank you.
There are so many other people to appreciate though!

      That’s such a great idea!

I love your share your goodness idea – it’s awesome. :) I am a huuuge fan of writing a traditional, hand-written thank you note. I always send them, even for the “littlest” gifts. To me, hand-written thank you notes are such a heartfelt way to thank someone, especially in this world where electronic means of communication seem to have taken over!

      I couldn’t agree more!
