Do you know what’s even better than drinking pumpkin beer? Making bread with it.
Taking a slice of warm, soft, pumpkin beer bread and dunking it into a big bowl of soup is pretty much the epitome of fall.
And if you can believe it, it gets even better: this is easiest bread recipe I’ve ever made. If you’re worried about things like yeast and kneading (or just don’t feel like waiting for the dough to rise)…this is the homemade bread for you!
Pumpkin Beer Bread
Adapted from Farmgirl Fare
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat pastry flour (or regular ww flour)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbs. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tbs. baking powder

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Slowly stir in the beer and mix until just combined (batter will be thick).
2. Pour batter into a greased 8-inch loaf pan and bake about 45 minutes, until golden brown. Serve and enjoy!
