Tea for Emotional Well-Being

by simplylife on May 10, 2011

I have a cup of tea almost daily.  It’s the perfect thing to warm me up in the morning and wind me down at the end of the day.  Whether you’re using it to find comfort and warmth with a good book or as a way to catch-up with an old friend, there is just something so soothing about a cup of tea.
Depending on the weather, my mood and the time of day I prefer different flavors.  I’ve had fun branching out and getting to know more of the wide variety that makes up the vast world of tea, and Teamotions is definitely one company I’ve recently been thrilled to be able to try!
I was provided with a sample each other their flavors.  Here we have Have Hope (Citrus Strawberry White Tea), Achieve Clarity (Vanilla Earl Gray), Enjoy Rest (Apple Cinnamon Chamomile), Discover Joy (Lemon Vanilla Green Tea) and Find Strength (Passionfruit Jasmine Green Tea).  I was also given the option to choose one flavor for a full-size tin. After much debate and reading each description and inspiring name repeatedly, I chose Seek Peace (Rooibos Coconut Chai) because who doesn’t want that, and well, how fun is that flavor combination?!
This is tea truly is a delight for the senses!…I love that you can tell how fresh the tea is just by looking at it!  When I opened the lid I immediately smelled a combination of fresh and soothing flavors!  And the taste, well it was bursting with delicious flavors and definitely stands out from the boxes I blindly buy on sale at the grocery store.
What I was impressed most with was the ability to actually see the different ingredients listed in the tea blends in each package!  This freshness definitely shines through in each sip!
I must say, in addition to trying their teas I was also thrilled to be able to finally put this little guy to use!…
Just like each of the tea names, the story behind Teamotions is pretty inspiring.  The founders are sister who started the company after one of the women used tea as one way to find solace after losing her twin daughters shortly after birth.  They now offer teas that are made to support emotional well-being.  Their aim: to comfort people.  You can find more information here.

I love tea, and these blends look so beautiful.

My favorite teas are any minty ones, and I also like chai and Earl Grey. I have some lavendar and mint in my cupboard, and might try to make a tea with those two herbs.

Between your descriptions and the pictures, I could practically smell the tea! I go thru phases when I have tea. It's mostly in the cooler months though since I don't care for iced tea. Random fact: I drink my tea straight. No sugar no milk & it drives my British friend's crazy!
